Alleppey, also known as Alappuzha, is one of the most famous places in Kerala for exploring the beautiful backwaters. A wonderful way to experience this natural paradise is by staying on sharing houseboats. Unlike private houseboats, sharing houseboats allow multiple guests or small groups to share the same boat, making the trip more affordable while still offering an amazing journey.

Alleppey sharing houseboats are traditional kettuvallams converted into floating cottages, complete with bedrooms, attached bathrooms, a dining area, and an open deck for viewing the scenery. Guests have private rooms but share the dining and lounge spaces. The interiors are often made of polished wood and offer a cozy, comfortable atmosphere.
